Peter Albion joined the DDEC Management Committee in 2024 as a representative of Friends of the Escarpment Parks Toowoomba Inc (FEP). As a member of FEP he is a regular worker in one of the bushland parks and has responsibility for the FEP website and related work.  

He retired in 2017 as Professor of Educational Technology at the University of Southern Queensland. His teaching and research was in areas related to online learning, the integration of ICT in teacher education, and technologies education. Prior to joining USQ in 1991 he was a teacher and principal in Queensland secondary schools for 17 years. His interests in retirement include travel, photography, and the roles that information technologies may play in enriching life and learning for people everywhere.
