Student Placement Information

Student placements and internships with DDEC students and young professionals with hands-on experience across several interconnected environmental and community wellbeing initiatives in the Darling Downs region. Projects span biodiversity conservation, environmental advocacy, community education, social enterprise development, and climate adaptation work grounded in social justice.

Placement setting: 

Placements are available either online or in Toowoomba where billets with free or reduced food and accommodation. Learning opportunities and career development prospects are much better in person if it is possible for the student.  

We offer a placement opportunity that is not constrained by the managerial and KPI challenges of many services organisations that can often limit the opportunities, trust placed in students and diversity of experiences offered in student placements.
