Nothing beats the feeling of stepping into a cool, green park. Nature rejuvenates us, keeps us healthy, and gives our kids a place to play.

Lately, the DDEC team has been bringing that green magic to life. Thanks to locals like you, we’ve already helped host a fantastic street tree planting day and created a dedicated koala corridor!

Our next big vision? Transforming Gowrie Creek into a vibrant natural haven. The energy is already building—at our last clean-up, 25+ next-gen locals showed up and hauled out over 1,100 kg of rubbish!

Now, we’re ready to partner with the Toowoomba Regional Council for more tree-planting events across our region’s parks and bushlands. But we have one strategic hurdle to cross first.

To unlock our chances for a major Council Community Grant later this year, we need to contribute 25% of the project funds ourselves.

The Big News: Double Your Impact Before June 30

A generous local donor has stepped up with an incredible EOFY offer: they will match every single dollar you give up to $4,000.

If we hit our community goal of $4,000, it instantly turns into $8,000.

This isn’t just money for trees today. This $8,000 is our “golden ticket”—the required 25% co-contribution to unlock a massive Council grant that will multiply your generosity into a serious green fund.

Donate before June 30 to double your impact and green Toowoomba!

By chipping in a tax deductible donation this End of Financial Year, you are directly funding the future of our local parks and bushlands, creating:

  • Beautiful, Shady Spaces: Planting gorgeous native trees to create natural shade over our walking paths, seating areas, and play spaces.
  • Thriving Bushland Corridors: Turning Council-approved sites into lush havens for birds, butterflies, and local wildlife.
  • Community Connection & Care: Funding the tools, clean-up gear, and mobile equipment needed to run fun, inclusive community events where neighbors can connect with nature.

See How Far Your Kindness Goes Today:

  • $25 becomes $50 – Helps us secure and protect beautiful native saplings.
  • $100 becomes $200 – Supplies the mulch and tools to keep our new community spaces thriving.
  • $500 becomes $1,000 – Builds the essential grant-matching pipeline to unlock macro-level funding from Council.

Don’t miss out: This matched funding offer strictly ends on June 30, 2026. Every dollar you give right now literally does twice the work to prove to Council that our community is ready for a cooler, greener, and more beautiful place to live.

Let’s turn public goodwill into real, living green spaces for our kids and grandkids. Please chip in today and watch your impact double!
